Young entrepreneur taking GTA by storm

BY ADAM FARADAY

Nü Faith Multimedia just became a registered business, and it’s founder, 28-year-old-Sheridan graduate of computer graphics Cameron Moore has a lot to talk about when it comes to running a multimedia company.

Nü Faith Multimedia makes music videos, short films, commercials, instagram and social media promotional videos and videos of all kinds. Despite only being registered for about a week, Nü Faith Multimedia already has a pretty good resume under its belt, counting both Independent artists and corporations among its clients. Moore has been in the media business about 10 years now, but only recently decided to make it official by making Nü Faith Multimedia a registered business of Ontario. Even though Nü Faith is relatively small and run out of Moore’s house, he’s worked with some pretty big names including Smokepurpp, when Moore created a mobile app for the rapper.

Hiring Nü Faith Multimedia to film/edit a media project can be pretty pricey for independent artists, and there’s a lot that goes into it.

“The base rate right now, if you want to film at one location, you’re wearing one outfit, meaning we don’t have to film a different scene, and I have to travel, it’s $500.” Longer filming days, and different, more complicated shoots depending on what you want could range from $750 to $1000 plus, it all depends on what you want explains Moore.

Registering the business was a whole process of its own.

“I’m glad we get to talk about this because I want to expose the bullshit when it comes to registering a business”. Cameron says that when you go to register your business online, there are a tonne of middlemen companies that will register your business for you.

“Service Canada will register your business at a very low price, but these companies are scamming small business’ out of hundreds of dollars. You don’t need to hire a company to register your business for you, just go to Service Canada”.

In the future, Moore wants to have an actual location where he can sell merchandise and record music in the back. His plan is to make the Nü Faith Multimedia location, not just a place of business, but a place where people can buy a membership, work on projects or to just hangout and be part of the scene.

There company is based out of Hamilton at 135 Market Street. You can contact Nü Faith Multimedia and see their work at nufaith.ca. You can also follow them on their various social media accounts at wearenufaith.
