Chantal Prescod wants to be a journalist so that she can come as close as possible to the people and stories that affect us most. Prescod has a multifaceted background with a broad knowledge of global issues and pop culture. For this project, she worked as a researcher.

Venturing out to various locations such as Gull Island, the Halton Waste Management Site and the Toronto Zoo, Hillary’s goal was to capture the amount of plastic and waste humans consume and show its effects on wildlife.

Kyle conducted interviews with experts in the plastic industry for the website. He chose journalism to provide a voice for those who are in need.
